Las Salinas de Guatiza

Known as the Salinas de La Caleta or Holes its construction dates from 1940, occupying 45,000 square meters in terraces near the enraged Coconut Coast. At its peak these salt obtained up to 850 tons of high quality salt. Today its activity has declined significantly, but remains in use and can capture this beautiful image of the triangles of rock salt, sea, ranging piling up ahead of their subsequent collection.
